Generation "Z" and Social Networks
Keywords:
technology, social networking, generation ZAbstract
The study presents the context generated with the development of technology and its impact on society in recent decades. The characteristics of each generation are exposed from the perspective of important events, using world-renowned names, namely: Baby Boomers, generation "X", generation "Y", generation "Z". The research analyses more broadly the “Z” generation and provides information about changing the social paradigm and interpersonal relationships through the advent of the Internet and later through the development of online social networks. Perspectives are offered on how the last generation spent their time, during the isolation generated by the pandemic. The widespread use of social networks has influenced individuals and their lifestyles, but the younger generation is the first to be affected by new technological challenges. Understanding the new social paradigm contributes to adapting the approaches to children and young people.
