Abstract

The theological assessment of the moral argument for the existence of God is in the focal point of the current article. It has a major significance for the understanding of moral norms, moral motivation, moral responsibility and duty, but especially for the objective character of moral norms and commandments. Also, the issue of the relationship between religion and morality in general. The relevance ofthe moral argument for proving the existence of God has profound implications for the individual and society, especially political implications for a core of moral principles necessary for the functioning of a multireligious society.
