The fundamental concepts of soteriology presented by the Quran

Abstract

Through this paper we aim to study the soteriology in the Qur'an while referring to the Islamic concept of sin, forgiveness, judgement, and reward. Following this study, we will see that every Muslim believer seeks to balance the good deeds with those of evil in order to obtain the goodwill of Allah in judgement. At the same time, because Allah saves only whom He wills, martyrdom is seen as the only method that ensures the salvation of the believer without having to bejudged. The present study is intended to be an introduction to Islamic soteriology as it appears in the Qur'an, which will help to better understand the world events of recent years that have brought the Muslim religion to the forefront ofpublic attention.
