Abstract

Located on the border of the great empires, Transylvania was the cradle of several amazing interferences with the Ottoman Empire. An example of this is what we call artistic imagology. The contact with “the Other” was also manifested in the artistic exchange. Given the fact that iconoclasm is one of the common dogmatic bridges between the two religious entities, Calvinism and Islam, it is worth analyzing how the two religious poles met. This is why the current article proposes to argue that the abovementioned confluence of otherness opened up the possibility for, at least, cultural and ethnic dialogue.
